Terms of service

By creating an account or accessing any part of hackr.gg ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you ("User", "you") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old, or 13 years old with verified parental consent, to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

The techniques taught on hackr.gg are dual-use knowledge. Understanding how attacks work is fundamental to building defences. We teach this knowledge for defensive, academic, and professional development purposes only.

Any knowledge, skill, tool, or technique acquired through this Platform is your personal responsibility. hackr.gg bears no liability whatsoever for how you choose to apply what you learn. You are solely and entirely responsible for your own actions.

You MAY:

• Use the sandboxed lab environments for learning, practice, and skill development
• Share your learning progress and writeups for educational discussions
• Use techniques learned here in authorised penetration tests, bug bounty programmes, and CTF competitions

You MAY NOT:

• Attack, scan, probe, or exploit any system, network, or device that you do not own or have explicit written authorisation to test
• Attempt to escape, pivot out of, or abuse container isolation on the Platform
• Use Platform resources to attack third-party infrastructure, perform DDoS, send spam, or conduct any illegal activity
• Share account credentials, create multiple accounts to circumvent limits, or automate access in ways that abuse Platform resources
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce Platform content or lab configurations without written permission

Violation of these rules will result in immediate account termination without refund and may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities.

The lab terminal environments are intentionally restricted. Outbound network access from labs is limited to isolated targets. This restriction exists to prevent misuse, and circumventing it is a material breach of these terms.

If you are found to have used this Platform as a stepping stone for illegal activity, you agree that hackr.gg will cooperate fully with law enforcement, including disclosing your account details, IP addresses, session logs, and any other relevant information.

hackr.gg offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription billed on a monthly basis. Prices are displayed on the Pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Your subscription renews automatically each billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain Pro access until that date.

All payments are final. Charges are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy at /refund-policy.

We aim to keep hackr.gg available at all times, but we make no guarantees of uptime, availability, or continuity of service. The Platform may be taken offline for maintenance, upgrades, or due to circumstances beyond our control (infrastructure failure, force majeure, etc.).

No refund or credit is issued for periods of downtime, maintenance, or service unavailability, regardless of duration. By subscribing you acknowledge and accept this risk.

In the event that hackr.gg ceases to operate entirely, your subscription will be cancelled with no further charges. Any remaining access period is forfeited without compensation.

All course content, lab configurations, platform code, branding, and materials are the exclusive property of hackr.gg. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use content for personal learning only.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, or create derivative works from Platform content without express written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these terms, suspected illegal activity, or at our sole discretion. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings. Deletion removes your personal data within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HACKR.GG AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL HACKR.GG'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO HACKR.GG IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless hackr.gg, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration before pursuing any other legal recourse, except where prohibited by law.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users via email for material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
