Refund policy

1. General position

All payments made to hackr.gg are generally final and non-refundable. This is a digital product — access to content and lab environments is granted immediately upon payment, and value is delivered from the moment of purchase.

By subscribing, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not subscribe.

2. When we will issue a refund

We will consider a refund request only under the following circumstances:

  • New subscriber, within 48 hours: If you subscribed to Pro for the first time, have not accessed any Pro content or labs, and submit a refund request within 48 hours of the charge, we will refund the payment at our discretion.
  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged twice for the same billing period due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
  • Fraudulent charge: If you believe your account was used fraudulently, contact us immediately. We will investigate and refund where confirmed.

All other refund requests are declined. This includes requests based on dissatisfaction with content, change of mind, or failure to cancel before a renewal date.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops future charges immediately.

You retain full Pro access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. No partial refund is issued for the unused portion of the period.

4. Service outages & downtime

We work hard to keep hackr.gg online. However, we do not issue refunds or credits for downtime, maintenance windows, degraded performance, or any interruption of service — planned or unplanned.

If you choose to subscribe, you accept the inherent risk that cloud infrastructure is not 100% guaranteed. This limitation is reflected in our pricing.

5. Platform closure

In the unlikely event that hackr.gg permanently shuts down:

  • All active subscriptions will be cancelled immediately with no further billing
  • No refund will be issued for any remaining portion of a paid billing period
  • We will provide at least 30 days' notice where operationally possible

6. Abuse & policy violations

If your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service — including but not limited to misuse of lab environments, attacking external systems, or any illegal activity — no refund will be issued under any circumstances.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, we reserve the right to permanently ban your account, contest the chargeback with your bank, and pursue recovery of the disputed amount plus any fees incurred.

If you have a legitimate billing concern, contact us first at billing@hackr.gg and we will resolve it.

8. How to request a refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund under Section 2, email us at billing@hackr.gg with the subject line "Refund request" and include:

  • The email address on your account
  • The date and amount of the charge
  • The reason for your request

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
